Proofreading
Proofreading incorporates visual and auditory tools to catch be sure you are receiving the cleanest manuscript.
Proofreaders look for line and page breaks, spacing, consistency, and text flow; plus visual elements, font, layout, and navigation as needed.
Although no structure, stylistic, or copy editing occur at this stage, the proofreader will flag egregious errors in the work.
Proofreaders will update your style guide if provided.
Beta Reading
Beta reading is a form of proofreading from the perspective of an "average reader", looking specifically plot, consistency, and pacing feedback.
Our beta readers do not see the author information ahead of reading, providing you with an unbiased reader viewpoint perspective on the story.

You may choose the number of Beta readers and ask specific questions about the manuscript's theme, plot, characters, etc.
Turn around time and the extent of proofreading may affect the price, we are always happy to supply a quote! Basic proofreading starts at $75 and up.
Many factors contribute to the pricing of services. I am happy to provide a sample of my work and a quote for any editing project with a complete explanation of services customized to meet your needs.
Prices are flexible depending on the project. I charge by the book, not the word or hour. Before we start a project you will know exactly how much editing costs. Editing services start as low as $150.
